Who Prepared for COVID-19?
In mid January 2020, before there were any confirmed cases in South Korea, the biotech company Seegene, began planning to make test kits for coronavirus. A few weeks later, on February 5, the first version of the test was ready. The tests were made freely available for anyone whose doctor deemed it necessary and 5 weeks later over 200,000 people had been tested.
